After a qualifying offer did not come forward from the Calgary Flames, a former member of the U15 AAA Airdrie Xtreme, Dillion Dubé is heading to the KHL.

Dubé, 25, has signed with the Belarusian-based KHL team the Dinamo Minsk as a free agent.

Last season, he took a leave of absence from the Flames on Jan. 21, 2024, nine days before being one member of Canada's 2018 World Junior team charged with sexual assault, stemming from an incident in June 2018 during a club event in London, ON.

At the time, the team released a statement saying they did not know about pending charges against Dubé when granting the leave of absence.

The charge has not been proven in court and his lawyer has stated he will plead not guilty.

Dubé was drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2016 in the second round, 56th overall, and has played his entire career with the club. He also appeared with the club's AHL affiliate the Stockton Heat.

Dubé appeared in 325 games in the regular season with the Flames and in 22 playoff games with a combined record of 133 points.
