George McDougall Mustangs star quarterback Kohen Bohnet has received multiple scholarship offers from schools around western Canada.

Heading into his senior year, Bohnet has received offers from the University of Calgary, the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia.

"It gives me the sense that what I'm doing is right, I feel proud knowing that I've reached my goal of getting a scholarship."

When asked about which school he would like to attend, Bohnet stated he has yet to make a decision and will more than likely make one in September.

"There's a bunch of different factors that play into it. It's not just where I want to go to play football, it's also about where I want to live for the next few years, where I want to go to school and so many other factors."

While not sure yet, Bohnet mentioned when it comes to post-secondary schooling it will more than likely have something to do with sciences or business.

This past season The Mustangs captured another Rocky View Schools Championship, this year they look to do the same while also making some noise in provincials.

"It's been like a lifelong goal of winning my senior season, having that amazing final year and leading my team."

Over the spring Bohnet and his Airdrie Raiders had an undefeated season capturing the championship of their spring league.

When Bohnet first started playing football at a young age, he started out playing defence and having a blast doing so, but once he moved over to the other side of the ball, it was meant to be for Bohnet to play quarterback.

"I've just kept that passion for it throughout the years and it paid off."

Bohnet wanted to thank his parents and multiple coaches, Chris Glass, Steve Kemp, Devon Baker, Coach Bubba and Tyrell Rohl for helping him become the football player that he is today.
