More pothole repairs are slated to begin Tuesday and last until Wednesday afternoon on the QEII northbound between Highway 556 and Airdrie, impacting lanes and speeds in the area.

The repairs are slated to start at 10 a.m. Tuesday and finish near 3 p.m. on both days. Motorists can expect two left lane closures and speed reductions to 80 kilometres an hour in the work zone.

Other road and lane closures that may impact traffic in Airdrie include:

  • 24 Street North will be closed till October 1 as crews work on the installation of a 2-lane undivided roadway
  • Until June 22, Midtown Boulevard will also experience a temporary road closure to accommodate site servicing

  • Until June 21, Southpoint Park will also have a temporary road closure for site servicing

  • From 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m., each day until June 21. Township Road  270 will also experience temporary lane closure to accommodate the Road Rehabilitation Program

  • Beginning July 2 and until September 20, there will be a temporary road closure on Flett Drive to accommodate deep utility installation.

    • Phase one will end on August 9

    • Phase two begins on August 9 and ends on September 20

  • From July 3, and lasting till August 31, Erin Drive will also experience a temporary lane closure to accommodate deep utility rehabilitation
