As of this afternoon, the fire ban has been lifted for both east and west Rocky View County (RVC).
The reason for lifting the ban is because of the changing/improving conditions.
Depending on weather and environmental conditions, the county may issue another fire advisory or ban in the future.
"Fire bans and advisories restrict burning for the safety of residents and the community and are impacted by weather conditions and moisture levels, which can vary significantly throughout Rocky View County’s large geographic area," according to the RVC website.
The City of Airdrie currently has a fire ban in place due to the current water restrictions.
