Airdrie RCMP arrested a wanted male in Airdrie earlier today.

Around noon, there was a heavy police presence in the Stonegate neighbourhood while RCMP was trying to locate the male suspect. Mounties were able to arrest the male without any issues.

RCMP remained on the scene after the arrest while conducting the investigation, while it is still ongoing, the scene has now been cleared.

According to RCMP at no time was the public at risk.
