It was a year to remember for the Fixes' as thousands of visitors attended their events and helped them fundraise for the Airdrie Food Bank.

Clifford and Tanya Fix are the creators and owners of the annual "The Fixes' Not-so-Spooky Haunted House" and "The Fixes' Christmas I Spy Event.". These were events where Airdronians were able to see all kinds of different decorations and get into the holiday spirit.

The haunted house fundraised $917 and 1040 pounds of groceries, while their Christmas event fundraised $1,113.25 and 680 pounds of food for the food bank. Altogether, they saw around 3500 visitors.

"Watching the children's eyes sparkle and have so much fun with their parents was amazing," explained Tanya.

According to Tanya, they also saw multiple residents bring them gifts to add to their displays.

"It's so heartwarming to know that other people catch that infectious creativity, and love and just want to support even more abundantly."

Tanya finished off by saying it's amazing to be able to take these events and make them something larger by helping out the Food Bank.

This was the third year for the haunted house and the second Christmas walkthrough.

These two events will be back next year to help spread the holiday spirit.
