Some local hockey players in action in the WHL Wednesday night.

Kyle Crosbie from Didsbury, and the Kelowna Rockets traveled into northern B.C. to take on Airdrie’s Craig Armstrong and the Prince George Cougars.

The Rockets took the lead in the first with two goals and defeated the Cougars 4-2.

Crosbie, a centre, won three out of his nine faceoff attempts last night.

Armstrong had two shots on net, but didn't manage to get the puck past the Kelowna net-minder.

Cayde Augustine from Airdrie also plays for the Rockets, but he wasn’t on the skate list for the game.

The rockets don't play again until Tuesday. The Cougars travel to Washington on Saturday to take on the Tri-City Americans.
