Airdrie Mounties are looking for two suspects as they alongside the city's fire department, investigate a Thursday evening fire in Airdrie's Midtown neighbourhood as an arson.

According to police, on June 27 and approximately 8:10 p.m., both the fire department and the police were called to Airdrie’s Midtown neighbourhood for reports of a residential fire.

"The residence was unoccupied and under construction. There were no civilian injuries although a firefighter reported a minor non-fire related injury. The fire was limited to the residence," police stated.

Airdrie RCMP are currently looking for two suspects. The first suspect is described as a young fair skin male with short brown hair, wearing black shorts, white socks, sandals, and a long-sleeved green sweater, while the other is described as a young fair skin male with dark-coloured hair wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, red pants, and a dark coloured backpack.
