At the last public forum concerning Airdrie's need for more off-leash dog parks, the city gathered a wealth of information from residents about where the most desirable areas for new off-leash spaces might be. An important forum happens again Wednesday night to let you know what the city's come up with from the input they received. The city's Archie Lang has details.

Lang says there may be some capital costs like adding fencing to certain areas to meet necessary criteria. Residents close to the potential green spaces have been petitioned with notices sent out. Information received will be taken back to council with around seven plans for possible spaces, and the hope is that two or three new off-leash parks may open next year.

The forum goes October 19 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Nose Creek Elementary School, in the Gym - 1690 Baywater Park SW.
