Missing Carstairs senior found deceased

Mounties have said that a previously reported missing senior from Carstairs has been found deceased.

"The manner of death is not deemed to be suspicious. Condolences to the family and friends," police stated in a brief news release on Wednesday.

Previously, Mounties alerted the public after the 73-year-old man had gone missing when he hadn't returned home from an evening walk on Tuesday. Due to the extreme weather conditions, there was serious concern for the man's well-being.

Police thanked those who searched their properties at the request of the RCMP.
