George McDougall Mustang Ryder Frampton has been selected as a top 75 high school prospect from across Canada.

With this honour, he will be participating in the Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) and The Sports Network (TSN) game in Ottawa on May 31.

Currently in grade 10 and heading into grade 11 next school year, Frampton is very honoured to be named a top 75 prospect.

"When I first heard it, I was very excited. My parents told me when they got the news and we had a family celebration."

The selection process to make the top 75 list included a cross-country tour visiting ten cities featuring a professional combine setting including a 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical and broad jump events.

Playing football since a young age, and football is his passion. During the off-season, he has spent a lot of time working out and practicing his on-field skills.

Looking forward to his junior season with the Mustangs, they are looking for their third straight Rocky View Schools Championship.

"'I'm just hoping that all my hard work pays off and we can make it farther in provincials. Last year was just bad timing, it wasn't the best we could be."

Although he is excited about the prospect game, he is a little nervous but hopes he can show off what he has been working on all off-season.

In 2019, the first-ever CFC Prospect Game on TSN unfolded at the Stadium at TD Place, showcasing 73 of Canada's finest football prospects, 13 of whom later secured contracts with NCAA programs.

Frampton finished off by saying he hopes he can continue to play football outside of high school. Eventually, one day making it to the CFL or NFL. When asked what school he hopes to play at when it comes to university or college, he stated there are a few but playing at Washington University would be cool.

Frampton isn't the only Airdronian that will be partaking in the game. Bert Church Charger Colton Jackson-McConnell also made the top 75 and was invited to the game.
