Airdronian Aaron Dell has signed an American Hockey League contract with the Ontario Reign (affiliate of the LA Kings) for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Dell participated in 38 games with the San Jose Barracudas and four with the San Jose Sharks in 2022–2023.

Throughout his 11-year professional career, 34-year-old Dell has made 130 appearances in NHL games. He most recently played for Canada at the Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland, where he finished with a 2.59 goals-against average in four games. Canada made it to the semi-finals.

During the 2016–17 season, he made his NHL debut with San Jose, where he has played in 111 NHL games overall. The six-foot-two, 200-pound goalie played with the Sharks from 2017–18, going 15–5–4 in the regular season with a 2.64 goals-against average and a 0.914 save percentage.

Additionally, Dell has played for the Buffalo Sabres with 12 appearances and the New Jersey Devils with seven games. During his career, the Airdronian has participated in 133 AHL games with the Worcester Sharks, Abbotsford Heat, San Jose Barracuda, Binghamton Devils, and Rochester Americans.

Before turning pro, Dell spent some time playing in Airdrie with Airdrie Lightning U18 AAA and the Airdrie Techamtion Thunder. Dell also spent three years playing for the University of North Dakota where he won a Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Championship in each of the three years from 2010-12.

The Reign's next game is Thursday night against the Calgary Wranglers at the Saddledome.
