Despite all the rain we've received the past couple of weeks, the construction at Nose Creek Park remains on schedule.

Once complete, the new park will have a larger amphitheater, new washrooms, a concession and pavilion.

Scott Fediow, Parks Development Technician with the City of Airdrie, said the rain hasn't slowed them down.

"So far we've been doing really well. The rain, it hasn't slowed us down as far as the timeline goes, it's made the site a bit of a mess muddy-wise but we're still on schedule with the washroom and pavilion and concession."

The washrooms, concession and pavilion are scheduled to be complete within the next couple of months, however, it will take longer for the amphitheater to open up.

"We're just waiting on Alberta Environment to get approval because we are in the flood fringe and flood way with the work that's to happen there. What would happen, is they would demolish the existing stage area and start construction on the new amphitheater stage," says Fediow.

The new amphitheater will have a large cover over top of it to help keep the weather off the stage.

All the construction is set to be complete by November 2016.
