Just before 9:00a.m. on Saturday, October 29, EMS from Airdrie, Carstairs, Innisfail and Olds were called to a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on southbound QEII near township road 320. 

There were four vehicles involved in the incident. 

The first vehicle contained two women, both believed to be in their 30's, in which one of them needed to be extricated from the vehicle due to significant damage. 

She was sent to the Foothills Hospital with multiple traumatic injuries and in serious condition. 

The passenger of the same vehicle was also sent to Foothills Hospital in stable condition. 

An individual from another vehicles involved was transported to Didsbury Hospital in stable, non-life threatening condition. 

The remaining individuals were assessed on scene by EMS. 

Although STARS was requested, it was unable to launch due to weather conditions at the time of the incident.
