The incident occurred at the Crossfield Shell early this morning (January 7) at approximately 4:45 a.m.

Airdrie Rural RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at the Crossfield Shell gas station in Crossfield, Alberta.

Video surveillance show a male suspect breaking the front door window and entering the business. The suspect is seen tying tow ropes to the ATM machine to his vehicle, and driving away, causing damage to the gas station. The ATM was taken with an undisclosed amount of money.

The ATM was recovered later in the morning but the money was gone.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a white Ford Ecoline 15 passenger van. If you have any information about the theft, please contact the Airdrie RCMP detachment or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
