Two Airdrie goaltenders have been selected to play in the 2017 Alberta Challenge.

Jocelyn Pearce and Meghan Olsen both play for the Olds Grizzlies in the Alberta Female Hockey League.  They were selected, along with 118 other girls, for the six teams that will battle it out from May 3rd to 7th in the tournament at the Olds Sportsplex.

The tourney will be made up of three teams from northern Alberta and three teams from the south, each consisting of 20 female players born in 2002 and 2003.  Pearce will play for the South Black squad while Olsen will be between the pipes for the South White team.  The rosters were selected based on the girls' performances at zone camps held April 7th - 9th in Fort Saskatchewan and April 14th - 16th in Olds.

Along with the two Airdrie players, two from Cochrane also made the rosters.  Forward Sarah Wozniewicz will play for the South White team with Olsen while defenceman Bailey Fiola will play for the South Green club.
