Airdrie's Ty Rattie scored his second goal of the season in the third period last night (November 11) but it wasn't enough as the Edmonton Oilers lost their fourth straight game, falling 4 - 1 to the Colorado Avalanche.

Rattie's goal came 9:20 into the period on assists from Adam Larsson and Milan Lucic.

The Oilers who are fifth in the Pacific Division of the NHL host the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow night.

The Calgary Flames didn't show much offense either as they dropped a 3 - 1 decision to the San Jose Sharks in their final game of a three-game road trip that was played without Cochrane's Dillon Dube.

Dube missed the trip after taking a hit from behind from Duncan Keith of the Chicago Black Hawks.

The Flames return home to also play the Canadiens in their next game Thursday night.
