The final day of competition is underway at the 2020 Alberta Winter Games in Airdrie.  

After the second day Zone 3, the City of Calgary, continues to lead the medal count.  They've amassed 28 gold, 28 silver and 26 bronze for a total of 82 medals.

Zone 6, Edmonton, is second with 19 gold, 22 silver and 17 bronze medals for 58 medals overall.

The local zone, Big Country which includes Airdrie has moved into third place in medal standings with 21 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze for 51 medals.

The games will wrap up later this afternoon when Alberta Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women Leela Sharon Aheer present the Minister's Cup to the zone that has shown the most improvement from one games to the next.  The presentation will take place at 2:30 pm at Genesis Place.
