My Life with the Walter Boys is a 10-episode teen drama that stars Nikki Rodriguez (On My Block) as 15-year-old Jackie Howard. Howard makes the bold move from metropolitan Manhattan with her family guardian to Colorado to live with the Walter family after a tragedy. The series revolves around Rodriguez's character who navigates her new home and new reality as well as her budding feelings for two very different boys in her life - the Walter brothers.

The star-studded cast includes Noah LaLonde (Criminal Minds) as Cole Walter, one of Jackie's love interests, Ashby Gentry (Are You Afraid of the Dark) as Alex Walter, the other Walter brother, Sarah Rafferty (Suits) as Dr. Katherine Walter, and Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as George Walter, among many other very-well known Primetime TV actors and actresses.

According to IMDb (Internet Movie Database), the series creator is Melanie Halsall who has worked on other notable series such as BBC’s TV short series Shaun the Sheep as an executive producer.

Netflix in Your Neighbourhood was launched in 2021, 'to help fans of Netflix films and series discover filming locations in their neighbourhoods and beyond.'

"From set locations to beloved family-run restaurants, local festivals, cultural institutions and everything in between, Netflix in Your Neighbourhood provides visitors with everything they need to plan the ultimate fan trip to the sites of their favourite shows and movies," Netflix stated.

There are now over 40 films and series, all showcasing the breathtaking Canadian landscapes and vibrant communities in which they were filmed. Some other prominent Alberta-made series and films include Black Summer, which was filmed right near Airdrie in Cochrane, Irricana, Morley and Beiseker, among others.

"Black Summer follows a mother embarking on a harrowing journey to find her daughter during the early days of a zombie apocalypse. She soon encounters a group of strangers and they decide to band together to find the strength they need to survive and get back to their loved ones."

Canadian actors, including Kelsey Flowers and Gwynyth Welsh, alongside Jamie King and Justin Chu Cary also star in the horror series.

But it's not just Alberta-made series and films that are featured on Netflix in Your Neighbourhood. You can explore filming locations across Canada, such as where the massively popular movie, Avatar: The Last Airbender was filmed - in the neighbouring province of British Columbia!
