The Rockyview Silvertips headed into last weekend hoping to turn the tide on their season so far. Unfortunately it didn't turn out the way they hoped for as they lost to the Calgary Chill on Thursday June 2, followed by an overtime loss to the Saskatchewan SWAT on June 5.

After falling 14-4 to the Chill, the Junior B Lacrosse squad were looking for a second wind against the SWAT and nearly stole the game away.

It was a tough defensive stand from both sides that eventually saw the game head to a sudden death overtime, which the SWAT took, winning 9-8.

With just over one month remaining in the 2016 season, the Silvertips will look to ramp up their game as they sit just four points back of the third place Okotoks Marauders.

Next up for the Junior B team is a rematch with the Calgary Chill on Thursday, June 9 in the Brentwood Arena.

Opening Face-Off is set for 9pm.
