Four Airdrie players saw action in three Western Hockey League games with two of them going to shoot-outs making for one exciting night in the league.

You see how we did that, right?  Four, three, two one?

Anyway....It was a good night for Airdrie's Jake Neighbours even if his Edmonton Oil Kings lost just their second game of the season.  Neighbours scored on a penalty shot and added an assist to be chosen as the game's second star.  But the Lethbridge Hurricanes prevailed 6 - 5 in a shoot-out.

Airdrie player Keagan Slaney picked up a pair of minor penalties in the game and was a plus one.  Tonight the Oil Kings will be in Lethbridge to face the Hurricanes again.

In the second shoot-out of the night, the Swift Current Broncos won for just the fourth time in 19 games this season by stopping the Saskatoon Blades 3 - 2.  Josh Davies of Airdrie looked like he earned an assist on one of the Broncos goals but didn't get credited.  Davies was plus-one with one shot on goal.

In game number three involving an Airdrie native, Craig Armstrong and the Prince George Cougars lost in a high-scoring affair to the Kelowna Rockets 7 - 5.  Armstrong was minus-one on the night and fired three shots on goal.

In other WHL games, the Brandon Wheat Kings stopped the Moose Jaw Warriors by a 4 - 1 count, the Portland Winter Hawks dumped the Seattle Thunderbirds 3 - 1 and it was the Medicine Hat Tigers over the Red Deer Rebels 5 - 2.
