The tragic accident that claimed the life of a construction worker in Airdrie last week has spurred Airdronians to set up two memorials to acknowledge the loss of the man's life and show support for his family, friends and co-workers.

The memorials are set up along the north side of 1st Avenue Northwest just East of 8th Street. 

Prince Owusu was a man dedicated to his family, the company he worked for, and the crew he worked with. Owusu was a father to two young children, a son who is 12, and a daughter that is 7, he has been described as a vibrant and loving father. 

The accident that claimed Owusu's life occurred when, according to the RCMP, there was a collision involving a dump truck and Owusu, who had been working on the roadway.

There are two GoFund Me campaigns hoping to raise funds for Owusu's family which have raised over $7000 to date. Links to both are in the previous stories below.
