The Airdrie Thunder wrapped up their preseason over the weekend with a pair of games.

The weekend started out rocky as the Thunder dropped a Friday night game (September 16) at home in the Ron Ebbesen Arena. The Thunder couldn't find an answer for the Blackfalds Wranglers, falling 9-6.

The Thunder turned things around on the following night (September 17) and finished the preseason in spectacular fashion. In a dramatic game against the Cochrane Generals, the Thunder pulled off a 5-4 overtime road victory at the Spray Lakes Family Sports Centre.

After the weekend, the Thunder finished the preseason with a 2-2 record.

The squad will now prepare to open the regular season at home. On Friday (September 22), the Thunder will take on the Wranglers for their first regular season meeting at the Ron Ebbesen Arena. That game goes at 8:00pm.
