While there are no flurries forecast for the last week of November for Airdrie and the surrounding areas, there will be double-digit temperature swings all week.

While the largest temperature shift is slated for both Monday and Tuesday, with a difference of 18 degrees between the day and night, double-digit temperature drops are predicted to occur most of the week.

Monday's daytime high is predicted to reach six Degrees Celsius, which is well above the normal high for November (0.3°C); while by evening it will cool down to -12 degrees, with a nearly -20 degree windchill. Tuesday's daytime high is forecast at five degrees, while in the evening the temperature will drop down to -13.

The midweek temperatures will see less variation, with daytime temperatures closer to daytime averages, there will still be a 16-degree difference between the daytime high and nighttime.

With December beginning on Friday, along with a whole host of community events to kick off the holiday season, temperatures during the day will be below average, with -6 degrees during the day, and -13 in the evening.

Long-term forecasts show that the first week of December is slated to see warm temperatures, some as warm as seven degrees above zero. As for a white Christmas backdrop? There is a chance of snow and sleet forecast for mid-December, but thus far there doesn't appear to be large amounts of flurries in December.
