The Nose Creek Swim Association spent 4 days in the water participating in the Age Group & Senior Provincial Championships at the Talisman Centre.

On Thursday, June 30, Alexandra Butler won Bronze in the 100m Backstroke, while her brother Addison took home the Silver. In the 50m breaststroke, Michael Schaan won his first silver medal at the meet with a time of 33.58, which is 0.03 seconds shy of the club record of 33.55 seconds.

During the evening's meet on Friday, Alexandra Butler led the pack for the girls 13-14 age group, qualifying for a spot at the championship at the end of July. Addison Butler became the Provincial Champion in the 200 m for 11 and under boys, and Zac McLeod finished 4th in the 150m.

On Saturday, more medals were won. Alexandra and Addison Butler both walked away with a silver medal, while Michael Schaan worked hard to win bronze in the 200m butterfly.

On the final day of the championship meet, Michael Schaan was ranked 4th for the 100m butterfly but took command and finished 2nd overall. For the 50m freestyle, 5 swimmers from NSCA hit the pool, but it was Addison Butler who stole the show, taking home the gold.

Alexandra Butler, Addison Butler, Andrew Dungate and Michael Schaan each were awarded the Team Aquatic Supplies Youth Recognition award, earning them a t-shirt and a moment of glory when they were introduced to the crowd.

The team will continue to work on their swim times and will compete again at the end of July.
