Small businesses are said to be the engine of the Canadian economy and it’s no different in Airdrie. Small Business Week 2011 runs Monday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 21, providing an opportunity to celebrate Airdrie businesses. Leona Esau, Economic Development Officer with the city, says the week is about a slate of recognition and celebration events along with some education and learning opportunties.

You can register for most of the remaining events for Small Business Week by going to the Airdrie Business Resource Partnership website: www.abrponline.com. The city encourages companies of all sizes to take part in Small Business Week and residents to take the time to say thank you to local businesses. The week culminates with the sold-out Winning Edge Awards banquet at Woodside Golf Course on Friday evening.
