The schedule makers in the Rocky View High School Football League must have had a premonition before the season got underway.

They must have had a feeling that the Bert Church Chargers and Cochrane Cobras would dominate the league and both be unbeaten when they scheduled them to meet on this, the final day of the RVS season.

At 4:00 pm today (October 11) the Chargers and Cobras square off to determine first place, and an undefeated season, at Ed Eggerer Athletic Park in Airdrie.

The Cobras have spent the year in a familiar spot, ranked first in Division Three in the province.  The Chargers are the eighth-ranked team among Division Two schools.

Yesterday the W.H. Croxford Cavaliers had a chance to finish the regular season alone in fourth place in the standings with a .500 record on the season but they ran into a tough Chestermere Lakers team who dumped the Cavs 27 - 9.  Both Chestermere and Croxford finish with a 2 and 4 record and in a three-way tie for fourth with the George McDougall Mustangs.

In yesterday's other game, the Springbank Phoenix handed the Bow Valley Bobcats their sixth straight loss of the year, a 42 - 13 setback.  Springbank ends up in third place with a 4 and 2 mark.
