The season is ready to get underway for the Heritage Junior Hockey League and the Airdrie Thunder.

The Junior B Hockey team will play their first game at home tonight (September 22nd) when they welcome the Blackfalds Wranglers.

These two teams played just a week ago in the preseason with the Wranglers winning 9-6.

In exhibition play this year, the Thunder held a 2-2 record while the Wranglers had a few more games and victories.

The Wranglers went 6-1 in preseason play with their only loss coming against the Beaumont Chiefs of the Capital Junior Hockey League.

Puck drop for the Thunder and Wranglers goes at 8 o'clock tonight at the Ron Ebessen Arena.
