Next week Airdrie and Beiseker RCMP will be hosting a Rural Town Hall meeting.

Inspector Lauren Weare of the Airdrie/Beiseker RCMP Detachment invites citizens and business representatives from Rocky View County, Crossfield, Beiseker, Irricana, Acme, Linden and Kneehill County, to the third Annual Rural Town Hall Meeting.

Town Halls provide an excellent opportunity to engage with local residents and community leaders, discussing policing priorities and addressing community needs. The RCMP will present a summary of policing activities from the past year and seek residents' input to determine policing priorities for the upcoming year.

Rocky View County will be hosting the meeting and offering in-person and virtual options for attendance. The meeting will be held on Monday, March 4, at 6 p.m. at the county hall just off Highway 566.

Last year, the City of Airdrie's RCMP Town Hall saw one of the best-attended town halls in a long time.

Multiple topics were brought up like crime statistics, resources, road safety and speeding, mental health and COVID-19-related issues. The feedback provided at the town hall by residents was passed on to the Municipal Policing Advisory Board and helped set policing priorities for this past year.
