After an investigation that began earlier this month, Mounties arrested a 59-year-old woman from Carstairs after she allegedly asked another individual to kill another person.

"Didsbury RCMP and Southern Alberta District RCMP General Investigative Section entered into an investigation after learning that an individual was asked by a female to kill another person," police stated.

Audra Symbalisty was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of Counselling to Commit the Indictable Offence of Murder, Which Was Not Committed, contrary to Section 464(a) of the Criminal Code.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, she was remanded in custody and will be appearing in the Alberta Court of Justice in Okotoks on Friday.
