Even though he'd much rather be playing alongside Connor McDavid, Milan Lucic, and the rest of the Edmonton Oilers, Airdrie's Ty Rattie is doing his best to impress the Oilers brass with his play on their American Hockey League farm team.

Rattie, who signed with the Oilers in the summer, is spending this season with the Bakersfield Condors.  In 37 games with the Condors, Rattie is leading the team in scoring.

Rattie has netted 16 goals and added 12 assists for 28 points.  That total leaves him 41st in American Hockey League scoring.  He's also a respectable minus 12 this season, on a team that has struggled.

The Condors record is 16 - 14 and 7.  They sit second last, in the Pacific Division, three points ahead of the San Jose Barracuda and just a point back of the Ontario Reign.

Rattie and the Condors are on the road for a pair of games this weekend.  Tomorrow they're in Des Moines Iowa to play the Wild.  On Saturday the Condors travel to Chicago where they'll face Tyler Wong from Cochrane and the Wolves.
