The Airdrie Raiders Midget football club opened up the Calgary and Area Midget Football League with a loss last night.

 The Raiders took on the defending city champion Calgary Cowboys and lost 41 - 7.

Airdrie next sees action on Thursday, April 6th when they face the Calgary Mavericks.

Kickoff is at 6:30 pm at Encana Field at Shouldice Athletic Park.
