Update: QEII Southbound stalled due to collision

An earlier motor vehicle collision on Deerfoot Trail Southbound near Stoney Trail Northeast has been cleared. 

Motorists are asked to exercise caution as continued strong wind gusts are making for more hazardous road conditions. The QEII heading towards Calgary City limits is reported to be partly covered in snow with icy sections and icy wheel paths. 

Snowfall will continue until late this afternoon and there may be up to two centimetres of accumulation. The wind will lighten near noon, although evening temperatures are expected to be frigid in the windchill.
