The Airdrie Thunder will finally hit the ice as the 2017 preseason gets underway.

The Junior B Hockey team welcome the High River Flyers to the Ron Ebessen Arena with the opening faceoff set for 8:00 tonight (September 8th).

Both teams had different results in their 2016-2017 seasons. The Thunder finished 2nd in the Northern Division and lost to Red Deer in the Division Semi Finals.

The Flyers finished at the bottom of the South Division with a record of 9-27-2.
