The Airdrie Brewers baseball club are entering their third season and they're going into it in a new league.

The Brewers have announced that they've joined the Foothills Men's Baseball Association (FMBA) in Calgary for the 2018 season.  In a post on their Facebook account, the Brewers cite being able to play more games while travelling a lot less as their reasons for joining the new league.

Previously, the Brewers had played in the Parkland Baseball League.  The "AA" league is made up of teams from Innisfail, Lacombe and Red Deer.

The FMBA is the only Senior Men's Baseball Association in Calgary and consists of 11 teams.  Their season runs from May through to early September.  The schedule for the league hasn't been released yet.

All games for the FMBA are played at their league facility, located just off Deerfoot Trail at 32nd Avenue Northeast.  All of the Brewers games will also be played at that facility.
