The Airdrie Lightning are a team of 16 elite female players who have recently joined the Airdrie Minor Hockey Association. 

Playing as an Elite AA Midget team, the girls have had the opportunity to play 4 games so far this season. 

The first two games were played in Lethbridge on October 15 and 16, where the Lightning won their first game 4-0, but lost to the Cyclones 3-2 the following day.

On Saturday, October 22, the lightning hit the ice in Leduc against the North Central Impact where they took the win 2-0.

The winning continued on Sunday, October 23, in Lloydminster where the girls faced off against the Steelers and lead the score board 7-1. 

On Sunday, October 30, the girls will have home ice advantage when they take on the Sherwood Park Fury.
