Airdronian Jake Neighbours has been sent down to the AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Neighbours had a spectacular pre-season with the Blues. In the preseason game against the Minnesota Wild, Neighbours was able to score his third goal of the pre-season while tallying up a total of three goals and one assist, all of the other points coming in his first pre-season game against the Arizona Coyotes.

In the regular season, Neighbours dressed in 11 games with the Blues this season, recording one goal and four penalty minutes. 

After being selected as their first-round pick in 2020, Neighbours played nine games with the Blues at the start of the 2021-2022 season before the team returned him to the Oil Kings for the remainder of the season.  He had a goal and an assist in those nine games.  Back with Edmonton, Neighbours helped the team win the WHL.

So far this season St.Louis has lost eight straight games to have a record of 3-8 while the team he is joining, the Thunderbirds have a record of 5-4.
