Left winger Curtis Glencross must be wondering if he's the Flames' "unlucky" charm. Glencross has scored first for the Flames - in each of their three season losses.

It happened again last night in Toronto against the Maple Leafs; Glencross put the first puck in the net for the Flames at 4:18 in the first period. Scott Hannan followed up a minute 22 later to give the Flames the lead. But that was it for scoring by the team. The Leafs mounted three unanswered goals in the second and third periods to take the game 3 to 2.

Coach Brent Sutter was noticeably unhappy with his team:

The Flames' next game is against the Oilers at the Dome on Tuesday night. Game start is 7:30 pm. Let's hope they figure out how to play smart by then.

And maybe Glencross should sit out the first period?
