Mounties are looking for a Dodge pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run that occurred west of Airdrie earlier this week.

According to Cochrane RCMP, police responded to a collision involving three vehicles and a deer on Highway 1A and Township Road 260 in Rocky View County on Wednesday evening.

"The investigation revealed that a deer had entered the roadway and collided with three oncoming vehicles. Following the collision, a passenger from one of the vehicles involved exited the vehicle to assess the damages when he was struck by another passing vehicle," police stated.

The suspect vehicle failed to remain at the scene and fled prior to the arrival of emergency services. The male victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
