Airdrie hockey player Aaron Dell has already made San Jose his home and it looks like he's staying there.

The local goalie recently signed a new 2-year contract extension with the San Jose Sharks as a result of his impressive play so far this season.

Dell has played in 25 games, winning 14 of them and allowing an average of just under 3 goals a game as the Sharks backup goalie.

Dell signed with the Sharks as a free agent in 2015 after winning the Central Hockey League Championship in 2013 and leading the University of North Dakota to three straight Western Collegiate Hockey Association titles.
