Lake Louise RCMP and other nearby Fire Departments are on the scene of a fire at the Charleston Residence. Currently, measures are being taken to ensure the safe evacuation of the hotel.

It's estimated that 200 to 400 people have been evacuated. Buses have been arranged to transport affected individuals from the fire site to a designated gathering point at Lake Louise ski hill.

The Charleston Residence is home to nearly 400 employees responsible for overseeing the operations of the surrounding ski hills.

Support for those who have been displaced will be provided on site. Individuals heading to the ski hill are asked to register on arrival.

More details to come.
