If you planned on being outside this Family Day-Long Weekend, it looks like you will be in luck when it comes to the weather.

While temperatures got pretty cold last night, we shouldn't see anything like that for the next three days.

Samantha Mauti, a Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada talked about what Airdrie is forecasted to see.

"We have temperatures close to zero from today to Monday. Today looks like it will be the coldest day with a high of minus one degree."

Saturday is a forecasted high of two degrees, Sunday is also two degrees while Monday is one degree. All three of those days, we are expected to see a lot of sun.

According to Mauti, the normal daytime high for this time of year is minus one degree, which was the daytime high last year during family day.

From February 17-19, the City of Airdrie is hosting their Cabin Fever event. It's a city-wide festival embracing winter-themed outdoor activities and experiences.

If you plan on heading to the mountains, Banff will also have warm temperatures.

"Today seems to be the coldest day in Banff with a high of minus nine degrees, otherwise temperatures are really close to zero for Saturday, Sunday and Monday."

For both Airdrie and Banff, no snow is in the forecast for the long weekend.

RCMP are reminding Albertans to practice safe driving and follow the rules of the road.
