The George McDougall Mustangs are rolling.

The Mustangs improved their record this season in Rocky View Sports Association (RVSA) high school football to 3 - 0, and their overall record to 4 wins against no losses, when they downed the Phoenix 16 - 3 in Springbank yesterday (September 25).

The Mustangs are tied for top spot in the league with the Cochrane Cobras.  The Cobras also improved to 3 - 0 with a 21 - 8 win against Chestermere.  The two will break the first-place tie when they square off Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm at Ed Eggerer Field in Airdrie.

Despite Goerge Mac's victory, they remain ranked in sixth place in the Tier II Alberta High School Football rankings, unchanged from the previous week.  Cochrane remains atop the Tier III rankings.

In other RVSA weekend play, the W.H. Croxford Cavaliers blanked the Bow Valley Bobcats 51 - 0 to claim their first win this season.  The Cavs are now 1 - 3 while Bow Valley falls to 0 - 4.

The Bert Church Chargers had a bye this weekend.  They'll face the Bobcats on Friday night in Cochrane.
