The old adage states that it aint over until it's over.

That's the lesson learned by the Calgary Flames last night as they dropped a 3-2 decision with half a second left in overtime to the New York Rangers. Defencemen Ryan McDonagh potted the final goal with the clock ticking it's final tocks in the extra frame after a lucky bounce off the back boards.

Flames Goalie Henrik Karlsson, who made 26 saves on the night, said other than a power play goal by Marian Gaborik, he felt good in relief of Mikka Kiprusoff.

Jarome Iginla and Mark Giordano tallied for Calgary and Alex Tanguay notched two assists on the night. Former Flame Brandon Prust had the other goal for the Blue Shirts.

The Flames host the Nashville Predators in their next game at the Dome, this Saturday afternoon, at 2 pm.
