Abrio Place residents will now have more opportunities to venture out into their community.

Today, a special key handing-over ceremony was held at Cam Clark Ford Airdrie as the Cam Clark Automotive Group, and the Hamilton Family of the Airdrie Registry have donated Abrio Place a new "Fun Bus".

The Fun Bus will offer Abrio Place residents more opportunities to explore the community, encouraging engagement, independence, and a sense of adventure. According to the Rocky View Foundation, this donation significantly enhances the well-being of their seniors, providing them with a dependable means of transportation for various activities and outings.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Airdrie Registry, Hamilton Family and Cam Clark Automotive Group for their generous donation,” said Chris Rowe,  Chief Administrative Officer for the Rocky View Foundation. “The Fun Bus will open up a world of possibilities for our residents, allowing them to participate more actively in community events and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings."

Kevin Hamilton, the owner of Airdrie Registry talked about how the idea for this donation came about.

"The Clark family and Hamilton family got together and knew there was a need for this. We knew it was important for the members of Abrio Place to get out in the community."

Equally thrilled and appreciative of this kind gesture are the residents of Abrio Place. They may go to social events, see the sights in the area, and have active, connected lives thanks to the Fun Bus.

“On behalf of all the residents at Abrio Place, we extend our deepest appreciation to Cam Clark Automotive Group, Airdrie Registry and the Hamilton Family. This bus will make a significant difference in our daily lives, bringing joy and adventure to many,” shared Roland Paquette, a resident of Abrio Place.

Thanks to the increase in lodge funding announced earlier this month, Abrio Place saw an increase of around $175,000 through the Lodge Assistance Program.
