Aaron Dell of Airdrie is growing accustomed to winning playoff games in overtime.

For the third time in four American Hockey League playoff games this season, Dell helped the Rochester Americans to an overtime win last night (May 14) and they've all been by 4 - 3 scores.

The Americans evened their Calder Cup North Division Semi-final series with the Utica Comets at a game apiece with another 4 - 3 victory.  Dell blocked 16 of 19 shots in the game and the Americans' J.J. Peterka collected a hat trick, including the game-winner which came just 1:29 into extra time.

In the series opener on Tuesday night, Dell was also between the pipes as Utica scored a 6 - 3 win, facing 40 shots in the game.  The Americans led 3 - 2 before the Comets roared back with four straight goals, including three in the final period.

Dell has played all four playoff games for Rochester.  In the 2021-2022 season, he split his time between Rochester and the Buffalo Sabres, playing in 12 games and starting nine of them.

After the first two games in Utica, the series shifts back to Rochester and the Blue Cross Arena for tonight's game three.
