Planning and strategy are both important in the life of a community which is why Crossfield town council and staff have been working together in the development of the town's four-year Strategic Plan for 2022 - 2026.

The plan is meant to provide council and administration with guidance in Crossfield's decision-making process and to direct the town's resources to where they are needed during the next term of town council.  In the process of developing the Strategic Plan, council and administration have come up with a new vision and mission statement to guide municipal initiatives.

With the goal of getting feedback from Crossfield residents and business owners, the town is hosting a pair of open houses in the next month.  The feedback garnered at these open houses will assist in forming the four-year Strategic Plan.

The open houses will be town hall-style and will feature presentations from Sue Keenan, Crossfield's Chief Administrative Officer and Mayor Kim Harris. After the presentations are made, the people attending the open houses will be allowed to ask questions of any of the officials attending.  Refreshments will also be provided.

The meetings will focus on three areas of the Strategic Plan, those being priorities, objectives, and an action plan.

The first of the open houses will go Wednesday, April 20th with the second slated for Wednesday, May 4th.  Both sessions get underway at 6:00 pm.  The meetings will go in the Crossfield Town Office, located at 1005 Ross Street.
