The Mountainview Colts were hoping that home ice could help them break out their recent funk in the Heritage Junior Hockey League last night (November 22), but the Blackfalds Wranglers had a different plan in store.

The Wranglers scored three first period goals on their way to a 6 - 3 win over the Colts in Didsbury.

It was the fourth straight loss for Mountainview, who despite their recent troubles still have a winning record this season at 8 - 7  and 3.  With the win, Blackfalds moves into a first place tie in the league's Northern Divsion with the Airdrie Thunder.  Both team have 24 points but the Wranglers have two games in hand.

The Colts will look for just their second win in the month of November tomorrow night when they travel to High River for a game against the Flyers.

Also tomorrow, Airdrie hosts the Medicine Hat Cubs at the Ron Ebbesen Arena at 8:00 pm and in Cochrane, the Generals entertain the Stettler Lightning looking for redemption after a 7 - 2 loss last weekend in Stettler.

Game time is 7:30 pm at the Spray Lakes Sawmill Family Sports Centre.
