Two Cochrane players had big nights in the Western Hockey League playoffs last night, but their teams came up with different results.

One day afer signing a contract with the Calgary Flames, Dillon Dube scored twice, including the winner, and was named the game's second star as the Kelowna Rockets beat the Kamloops Blazers 3 - 2 to grab a two games to none lead in that first round series.

Tyler Wong of Cochrane had a goal and was chosen the third star but his Lethbridge Hurricanes dropped the first game in their series with the Red Deer Rebels, losing 4 - 2.  The Hurricanes and Rebels will go at it again tonight,

Elsewhere, Cochrane's Jayden Gordon and the Calgary Hitmen are in tough against the Regina Pats who scored a 5 - 1 victory to take a two - nothing lead in that series.

Gary Haden wasn't in the lineup again last night, but his Medicine Hat Tigers took a two - nothing lead on Brandon with a 5 - 3 victory.
