Nine-year-old Chase Strang of Airdrie will have plenty of great stories to tell his friends when he gets back from golfing.

For one thing, Chase will be able to fill them in on what it's like to golf on one of the most famous courses in the world.  Chase is golfing at the Pinehurst Golf Course in North Carolina, the site of several U.S. Opens and other prestigious tournaments.

This time around the course is hosting the 2019 U.S. Kids World Golf Championship that Chase is a part of.  Yesterday (August 2) he fired an 88 during his second round of the tourney.  Combined with his opening round 86, Chase is at 174.  That puts him in a tie for 127th place out of 144 of the best nine-year-old golfers from around the world.

Chase tees off for his final round this morning.

He qualified to represent Western Canada at the championship in a Canadian Junior Golf Association event earlier this year.
